MS-Dietetics Option

The MS-Dietetics option is primarily for graduate students seeking to obtain the registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credential. This is an ACEND accredited graduate-level program that integrates coursework and minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised practice. This program is part of the Graduate Program in Nutritional Sciences housed within the Department of Nutritional Sciences, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) and School of Graduate Studies at Rutgers University, New Brunswick.

There are two track options for admissions within the MS-Dietetics:

A. Dietetic Internship Program

  • Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college.
  • Applicants must possess Didactic Program in Dietetics DPD/FDE Verification Statement.

B. ISPP Program 

The Rutgers-Dietetics ISPP Program is no longer accepting new applications.
This program will close on 01/31/25.

  • Applicants must possess a doctoral degree
    OR
    Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited DPD program who did not match to a dietetic internship.
  • Applicants must possess DPD/FDE Verification Statement.

*The MS Dietetics options may have additional admission requirements depending on the individual's educational background. If you do not possess a DPD Verification Statement, additional pre-requisite coursework will be required.
